Flagstaff, Arizona...
... is where I'm at right now. A small western town with some really noisy trains coming trough all the time, but besides that, really charming.
Hmm.. Have to think now... We left Sacramento really early tuesday morning heading for the American river, South fork where we went White water rafting. (Martins birthday present to me) It was awesome! The water was really, really cold, but the sun was burning and the rapids wild! Afterwards we got back in the car and drove to Yosemite National Park where we stayed a night and the moved on to see the huge seqouias (trees) in Seqouia NP, which can reach an diameter of 40 feet, 12 m, and was about 1700 years old!! Fantastic!! We spend the rest of the day driving, wanting to be in Vegas for the night. So we drove through the desert, passed the state line to Nevada and arrived around midnight in a glittering Las Vegas. The next day we went Casino watching. It was so hot, around 40 in the shade and no wind... So it was just heaven going in to an airconditioned hotel/casino and gamble a little. We won some and lost some, but it was fun! The hostel had a really nice pool where I spend some time... Saturday we went to Mesquite so Martin could get his birthday present from me, a skydive! He went up and came down and thought it was briliant!!
We got back to Vegas, found out that my account is empty... :o( so we went to a supermarket to get some cheap lunch. But in the middle of our shopping a lady announced over the speakers that everybody had to leave, some kind of emergency... I thought a fire alarm had went on but no, it was a bomb threat.. Nice! So we left quite fast! That night we went back to the Casinos: Paris-Vegas, Bellagio, MGM, Venetian and so on.
But sunday morning we'd had enough and left. Drove to Hoover dam which was impressive and continued to Arizona and Grand Canyon which was absolutely amazing!! It's SO big!! Really breath taking!! Just the colours and the Colorado river at the very bottom looking like a snake trying to find its way out... What a metaphore!! It was really great! And leaving Grand Canyon led us to Flagstaff. Today we're gonna take a walk here, then get in the car and go to Phoenix where we're gonna stay with Martins bigbrothers wifes parents!
Oh and we got a new car. 20 miles north of Fresno an indicator in the car started blinking and when we called Budget they told us to go to Budget in Fresno and they gave us a new one. Same same but different: its green...
Have to go now, promis to have pictures next time!
Hope you're all doing great!!

Hello beautiful!
I've just looked at the pictures that you shown, I'm so jealous. Damn it,I knew should have gone with you.But maybe Martin wouldn't have approved.Today it's the national day of Sweden, and everybody is celebrating if you're like 5 or 50. I don't have time for that anyway, I have so much in school, starting to panic when I think ablout it, it's so hard. I'm so looking forward to your arrival (when ever that is, cause I've forgotten the date)but I guess it's soon. When you come back I willl finally have a runing partner, hi hi, remember?
Love from Renée (and Thomas who says Hi)
ÅÅhhh! Jag vill också! :(
Men jag är toppenglad för din skull. Vilken resa!
Allt är hur bra som helst med mig, sista tentan på lördags, sen är det 10 veckors sommarlov :)
Ses snart!
Tusen kramar
